I’m back today with a couple more cards from Clean & Simple card class. Today’s cards are from lessons on day 3 and 5. Yes I skipped day 4, but no worries I will go back and make something for that day soon.
Day 3: So unfortunately I don’t have any pretty die cuts like Jennifer used, so I decided to go with circles because I have a variety of different circle punches. I stacked my circles with different colors underneath. I think this gives is a nice fun feel that goes well with the idea of a bunch of dots sprinkled on the card. My card base got a little wonky after gluing everything down, I wish I had used ticker purple cardstock. In the end it isn’t my favorite card I have made from class so far, but it is different that’s for sure.
Day 5: The idea of color blocking with distress inks and water was a fabulous lesson. I tried a simple design to start with but I have a couple other ideas/colors I want to try so I’ll probably be revisiting this technique soon. For this card I heat embossed one of the delicate blossoms stamps in white embossing powder on watercolor paper. I then did the color blocking technique using 4 distress colors to create a warm color gradient. I trimmed my watercolor paper down and distressed the edges before adhering it to a simple card base.
Thanks for stopping in today!

These are both so nice…and I love any ideas that help get a pretty card put together quickly (we've all gotten a last minute request) TFS
I really like the purple one (even if you don't.) They both turned out great.
Very pretty cards! I love how you put the different colors underneath the circles – it makes it so fun!
