Hi Friends,
Last week was kind of busy, so I didn’t get to really make much from the Clean & Simple Card class until Saturday. I wanted to share two cards I made based on lessons from Day 1 & 2 today.
Day 1: I decided to use one of the sketches and create a monochromatic card. I used soft pool shadow ink to stamp the houndstooth background onto Aqua Mist cardstock. The sentiment I stamped with Jenni Bowlin Speckled Egg so that it would pop a little more than the background. The white lines are hand drawn with a white gel pen and seeing as I am lacking in fun punches and dies I decided on some simple buttons as my accents.
Day 2: The second day of class focused on one layer cards, which by the way I made mine one layer but the centers of my flowers seemed rather bare so I turned to my button jar again. The flowers are stamped with soft purple shadow ink and the leaves are soft leaf shadow ink. I masked the flowers before stamping the leaf. I just got these two inks and I really like the colors, they were my wedding colors which I why I bought them. Maybe I will scrapbook a wedding layout one day. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today I’ll be back to share some more cards from class later this week.
SUPPLIES:
