Sweet Holiday Wishes

Hello!
I’m a little late with this post since it was part of our Fawny holiday week at the Lawn Fawn blog but better late than never right? I was inspired to create a more non traditional colored card so I went for some colorful sweets! Yum, yum!

I used the cloud border dies to make a puffy cotton candy like landscape for my gingerbread house. I stamped the house on some adhesive cork with brown archival ink then used the coordinating die to cut it out. I colored on the cork with color gel pens and used the Tsukineko White pico embellisher to do the white part.

The other candies are colored with Copic markers and cut with the dies which made it very easy to move pieces around as I created my sweet scene. I added Stardust stickles to the edges of everything to add the look of sugar.

On a side note. I mailed this sweet little card out to the Reed family yesterday to spread some Christmas cheer.  Petyon, the youngest of the family has suffered from seizures for the past 5 years, seizers which started around Christmas when she was less than a year old.  Christmas time just reminds the family of the time when the seizures started and they don’t get much joy out of Christmas anymore.  My friend Ruth is Peyton’s aunt and she sent out a request for Christmas cards, to bombard the Reed family with Christmas cheer and change what they remember about Christmas time.  If you want to send a card as well you can send them to
Praying for Peyton
PO Box 254

It doesn’t have to be a handmade card, just anything happy or joyful would fit the bill.

Thanks for stopping by today!
