So given that tomorrow is Thanksgiving maybe this should say Goodbye Autumn instead. But I had some time to play with some new fall stamps recently and well technically Autumn isn’t gone yet right?
I tried my hand at some ink smooshing, never done it before, it was pretty fun and I will be trying it again. I kept this card pretty simple and I am very pleased with how it turned out in the end.
I started by heat embossing the images on watercolor paper in copper embossing powder. Then I used some scattered straw, fossilized amber and spiced marmalade distress inks for my ink smooshing and ink flicking. I painted in more of the darker colors inside the leaf so it stood out more and then I added a layer of perfect pearls water with a brush over the leaf for some subtle shimmer.
I thought about adding some embellishments but decided to keep it simple and just mounted it to a kraft card base with foam.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope all of you here in the states have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
