Studio Calico Bluegrass Farm + Clarabelle

Hello!
Time to share some projects using Bluegrass Farm card kit and Clarabelle add-on kit.  I love the big sentiments of the stamp set from the Clarabelle add-on kit and used each of them as the focus for each of my cards.

ThinkingOfYou

On my first card I used the 3×4 stitched journaling card die from Lawn Fawn to cut out the plaid pattern paper from the Bluegrass Farm card kit. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink so that it stands out boldly against the pattern of the paper.

I cut a heart from the pink paper in the Clarabelle add-on kit and used the darker pink clothes pin included in the add-on kit to pin it to the top of the panel.  I drew a black curved line across the panel for the burlap banners to hang off of.

I stamped the little splatters from the stamp set with Color Theory inks in Sunny Day, Orange County and Mint Hint to match colors in the plaid paper.

HelloStars

For this second card I used the number pattern paper from the Clarabelle add-on kit. I determined where I wanted to place the star die cuts and how I wanted the sentiment to overlap the star. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Black ink on the pattern paper.

I then stamped the portion I wanted to overlap on the star and white heat embossed it.  The arrows are stamped with Silver Hero Arts Shadow Ink and the yellow ribbon is from the Clarabelle add-on kit as well.

Happy

My last card for this post may be my favorite I made with the Clarabelle add-on kit.  I created a patchwork with all the pattern papers and adhered them to a piece of card stock cut to the right size. I did sketch out the sizes on a piece of graph paper prior to cutting them so that I knew everything would fit like I wanted it to.

I used the new stitching lines craft die to create my holes for my stitching.  This is a great die, it made perfectly spaced holes very quickly with one pass through my cuttle bug.  Can’t wait to use it more in the upcoming Stitched class at Studio Calico.   The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Black ink and the other images were stamped with Color Theory inks in Well Red, Blush Crush and Clean Slate.

I used Picket Fence Distress Paint applied to my stamp to stamp the white on black, it gives it a nice texture to the stamping.  The embellishments add more texture and tie in with the stitching details nicely.

I also embellished one of the envelopes from the Bluegrass Farm card kit to match.  I felt the black envelope really went well with this card since It has black papers in it and I used the same patchwork idea for my envelope embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by today! I still have a few more projects to share soon, made with April’s Add-on Stamp set Buttercup.
