Studio Calico: Bluegrass Farm Card Kit

It’s that time again, time to share projects with the newest Studio Calico Card Kit! April’s Card Kit Bluegrass farm is fresh and fruity! Here are a couple projects I made with the main card kit only.

For this first card I created a card base with the kraft card stock and inked the edges with Tea Dye distress ink.  I cut the pattern paper so that the text was framed just right I also inked the edges of the pattern paper with distress ink, in Frayed Burlap.

I stamped the fruit images in Color Theory Inks in Well Red, Emerald City and Sunny Day.  I used the Fruit Punch craft dies to cut out the images and adhered them to the woodgrain panel.  I finished it off with a sentiment created from the alpha stickers included in the set and a banner cut from the wide yellow ribbon from the kit.

For my second card I cut a smaller size card from kraft card stock.  I cut the bottom of the front part slightly short and added a strip of pattern paper to the bottom.  I inked all the edges with Tea Dye distress ink.

I stamped the fruit with Color Theory inks in Well Red, Coral Bay and Emerald City.  The sentiment is stamped with Clean Slate and all the images were cut out using the Fruit Punch craft dies.

The Bluegrass Farm Card Kit has some fun shiny black envelopes in it.  I think sometimes we forget the envelope, I know I’m guilt of this.  So I used the paper, images and label stickers to embellish an envelope to go with my fruity cards.

The fruit is stamped with Color Theory Inks in Well Red, Emerald City and Sunny Day, and cut out with the Fruit Punch craft dies.

My last card that uses the Bluegrass Farm main kit only uses almost all of the pattern paper.  I used the red tag too and I’ll be honest totally messed up my stamping! But nothing a little pattern paper can fix.  So I just re-stamped the HELLO on a strip of pattern paper and wrapped it around the tag covering my boo boo.  Mistakes are just opportunities for embellishment right?
