Poshta Design Holiday 2022 Release: Pocket Tag Die

Hello Friends!

I am super excited to be joining Lizzy at Poshta Design for her 2022 Holiday release. I totally love her stitching die designs so I was over the moon excited when she asked me to make some projects for her new release.  Today she is introducing the Pocket Tag Die along with the new color stories over on her blog. Just a note, all my projects this week use the Cookie Party color story with a little white thrown in as well. Cookie Party is inspired by the sprinkles and confections we all love so much during times of celebration, this Color Story includes Lagoon, the *new* Lollipop, Cardinal, Soft Jade, and Vintage Glass felt.

This pocket tag is a really fun way to add some homemade flair to a package this holiday season, or anytime for that matter.  If you change up the colors and design I can see these used for any occasion. To make mine a bit more sturdy I did die cut a piece of cardstock and sandwiched it between the two red back layers of felt.

This die set comes with a die that will cut holes to stitch “For You” on the front but I wanted to show how you can use other dies to change up the look. The snowflake I have on mine is from another die set from this release that you will see later in the week. You can also change up the look by adding the scalloped edge or leaving it off. Mine has the scalloped edge added in lagoon-colored felt.

As you can see a gift card for cash would fit in here perfectly. I used a blanket stitch around the outside edge for a little extra detail but this would look great with a simple running stitch as well. I also used contrasting colored floss so the stitching stood out a bit more. Add a simple ribbon at the top and have a great addition to any gift!
