Hello Friends!
I’m back with another day of felt stitching fun! Today Lizzy at Poshta Design is introducing a new stand-alone ornament the Simple Scalloped Circle Ornament as well as the really fun Twinkle Light die that makes a super cute garland.
The Simple Scalloped Circle Ornament includes three decorative medallions and a circular window element that can be used to create a wide assortment of ornaments that coordinate beautifully without feeling too matchy-matchy. Retails for $38.
I used the circular window and the small medallion for the center and decided to stitch the outside edges of the ornament and the window with a running stitch around the shape only once. I like the different look that the skipping stitch gives around the edge.
Next up I made the twinkle light garland pulling in some other colors from my felt stash. I wanted to create a rainbow of lights that would match the rainbows I have in my craft room. I stitched them all with white thread around the blubs and then used silver thread for the toppers.
I found a silver cord at Hobby Lobby that worked perfectly to string up my lights and they look perfect hanging from my craft room shelf. Based on strings of vintage lights, this charming little die packs a whole lot of cute in a small package. The unique foldover design makes it effortless to securely string your sweet little bulbs onto twine or yarn for garlands that will keep on shining for years to come. Retails for $9.
The new release will be available on Saturday 10/1 at Noon Eastern.
