I have been patiently waiting to share today’s card. I made it a couple of weeks ago and had to wait until now to share. I had this idea at the same time as I did the idea for my Mary Poppins Pull ‘n Pop card.
It’s no secret I am a Disney fan so when I was brainstorming ideas for the Pull ‘n Pop tab the idea to recreate the house from Up just had to happen. Did I sing the song from the movie in my head as I made this? Why yes I did! To create Carl and Ellie’s house I used one of the houses from Happy Village and added lots and lots of bundles of balloons from Bicycle Build for You.
The function of the Pull ‘n Pop pull tab is perfect for this little house with lots of balloons floating away into the sky. To create the sky I used the Cloud Background Hot Foil plate and Prism foil on Moonstone cardstock. I then created a cloud border at the bottom with the cloud border dies to cover up the pull tab. I love the shimmer of the cloud background and how it is subtle and does not distract from the colorful images.
I used Harold’s ABCs to create my custom sentiment by stamping out the words on a strip of Fog cardstock and cutting the pieces into small banners. I added them to the background with some thin foam squares.
I also added a few little die-cut hearts, including one that is hidden by the house until the tab is pulled. Finally, I added just a bit of glitter to the hearts. I really love how this one turned out. It was so fun to make!
