Monochromatic Beach Card

Hi Friends!

I know I have been absent lately here on the blog. I’ve been busy and sometimes there just isn’t enough time for all of the things. But today I am sharing a fun beach-themed monochromic card. I love how this card turned out.

I created the background by cutting the Simple Stripes Portrait from White Woodgrain cardstock, then I added some light inking with Lost Shadow distress ink.

To make my shells I white embossed them on Mermaid cardstock. Next, I added some peacock feathers oxide ink blending along one side of each image, and then added some details with colored pencils. The sentiment is cut with Henry’s ABCs from Blue Jay cardstock and popped up on foam adhesive. I arranged the shells around the sentiment and popped them up as well. Finally, I added some tiny hearts from rainforest cardstock and some stardust stickles to each of the shells and hearts for some shimmer and shine.

You can see just how I created this card in the video below or HERE on my YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

  1. This could NOT be cuter! Thanks for reminding me of this great technique. This looks just like a boardwalk to me……love it so darn much. Thanks, as always, for the inspiration!
