Hello Friends!
Today I have a bit of a different type of project to share with you. I used my paper die-cuts to create a home decor project.
I used the Cheerful Cherries, Zesty Lemons, and Strawberry Patch dies to create all of my fruit for my project. I also used colors from various textured canvas cardstock packs in Pink, Red & Orange, Yellow, and Green.
For the Cherries, I used the blue gingham of the Berry Cute Fruit Salad paper for my background. For each 3″ embroidery hoop I used the largest Scalloped Circle Stackable to cut a piece of Speckled Eggshell cardstock for the back and a 3″ Stitched Circle Stackable for the gingham paper. I also shaded the cherries with a little aged mahogany ink.
For the lemons, I used the Orange You Glad paper for the background and various yellow cardstock for the lemons. I also added some shading to the leaves with lucky clover distress ink.
Finally, for the strawberries I used the green, Perfect Pear gingham for the background. Again inking the leaves with some lucky clover distress ink. I arranged the fruit in the circle making sure that the pattern stayed in the same direction for each frame. I glued the hoop to the scalloped circle with liquid glue then popped each gingham circle into the frame with foam adhesive.
I embellished it with some stardust stickles and Lawn Fawn twine bows. You can check out how this whole project came together in the video tutorial below or HERE on my YouTube channel.
