Get Cracking on Christmas: Very Merry Ornament

Hello! It’s the third Thursday of the month, time for another Get Cracking on Christmas Challenge.  If you don’t already know from following these posts, this idea started with my friends  Jenn & Cheiron because we realized we have all these fun Christmas products and never seem to find the time to use them when the holidays come around.  So we have challenged ourselves to make one holiday card a month this year and show those goodies some love.

MerryOrnament-1

Today I have a quick and easy card that I made in a very short time.  I bought this very cool ornament die last year and never ended up using it. I cut it from some pearly cream cardstock then layered pixie dust glitter behind it so that it peeks through the openings in the ornament’s design.  I used silver glitter for the top and then layered a bright red glitter die cut “merry” across the center.

I really wanted the sentiment to stand out so I kept this nice and clean by mounting the ornament on a white woodgrain card base and added a few clear sequins around it.

Be sure to stop by Jenn blog for more holiday inspiration (Cheiron is, unfortunately, unable to join us this month) and if you want to join us in our monthly holiday challenge all you have to do is create a holiday card or project and post it to your blog or social media such as Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #getcrackingonchristmas

Thanks for stopping by today!
