Storybook Inspired Card using Colored Pencils

Hello Friends!

Today I have a fun Winnie the Pooh inspired card to share with you. I got a lot of really positive comments on the video I did recently using colored pencils to color my images so I thought it would be good to use them more often since we see copic coloring so much. Today’s card was inspired by Jenn Shurkus’s Winnie the Pooh card.

Winnie is a bear from Den Sweet Den, Piglet is from Hay There, Owl is from So Owlsome and a honey pot from Love Letters. I colored them all with colored pencils and then fussy cut them out so that they did not have the white borders around them.

I created the sentiment using Harold’s ABCs. The text is a quote from Winnie the Pooh and I thought it was such a sweet sentiment. I created the tree by cutting part the Lift The Flap Tree backdrop and added the tree canopy on top cut with the Puffy Cloud Border dies.

I think my favorite part of this card is the bee hive, I created it from an Easter egg die cut which I thought was a clever idea. I also love the liquid pearls “honey” on the honey pot. You can check out the video below to see just how I colored these images with pencils and created entire card.
