Hello, it’s the last day of Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! Today we are playing with the mini Home for the Holidays set. I made a super fun spinner card with this cute little set.
For this card I die cut a piece of green Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper with a scalloped circle die. This is the part that spins and where I attached the cars. For the background I die cut a piece of red plaid paper and inked the edges with Festive Berries distress ink. I also cut a piece of white cardstock with a stitched circle for the center. I used a brad to attach all these pieces adding glue dots on the back of the red panel as well as under the brad on the white circle to keep the brad and these pieces stationary while only the green circle would spin.
I adhered the red panel to a card base hiding the back of the brad from the inside of the card. I die cut a sentiment banner and used one of the Merry Messages to white heat emboss the sentiment. This I attached with foam squares on the white circle spanning across the brad and hiding it behind the banner. I added some trees from this set along with a larger tree from Toboggan Together to the white circle allowing the cars to pass behind them. One tip is to add some small die cut circles between the large pieces to create some space between the moving parts.
Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog today for more projects!
