Hello! Welcome to Lawn Fawn May Inspiration week…and release week! That’s right new summer Lawn Fawn stamps and dies available May 19th. Today we are featuring one of my favorite sets from the release, Mermaid For You. I love these little mermaids and friends.
For this card I really used my distress inks creating a under the sea background with twisted citron, cracked pistachio and peacock feathers. I then added some water spritz using the Distress sprayer and some brushed pewter mica spray as well. It really shimmers in real life and pictures don’t do that part justice. I used distress inks and the simple stitched hillside border for the sand at the bottom as well. The seaweed and seagrass I stamped with various Lawn Fawn inks and used the dies to cut them out.
I colored all my images with copic makers and added in a couple fish from the Finstastic Friends to fill the sea. I kept the sentiment simple and small to not distract from the composition. I really love how this one turned out. Wish I could live in this colorful underwater world.
