This week Lawn Fawn has teamed up with May Arts to create some fabulous projects. I will admit I was overwhelmed by the box of ribbon that showed up at my door. So many beautiful ribbons I didn’t know what to do! So I decided make the focus of my card the ribbon and then sprinkle a little Lawn Fawn around. 🙂 Here is my creation.
I created a basket weave panel using May Arts green satin ribbon, accented it with May Arts Lace. Then sandwiched the panel between the card base (stamped with the Hero Arts envelope background in red) and the top cardstock with the triangle cut out to create the ribbon tree. The sentiment, ribbon tree topper and stars are from Lawn Fawn’s Ornate Ornaments set. I finished off with some stickles, pearls & faux stitching to give it the reverse appliqué look. Here is a photo of the ribbon panel before I assembled the card.
Teri is my partner in crime today on the Lawn Fawn blog with her yummy ribbon creation, be sure to go vist her blog and see what she came up with.
Also, be sure to visit the Lawn Fawn Blog AND the May Arts Blog, there are multiple chance to win some yummy ribbon and Lawn Fawn Stamps this week!

Gorgeous! Just gorgeous. I'd love to see a video of how you did the basket weaving! How much ribbon overall did it take for the tree? Do you know? This is fabulous.
