Aloha!
Today for Inspiration week we are featuring the cute mini set Aloha as well as the new Scripty Aloha die. I made a few cards that would brighten anyone’s day and make me want to go back to Hawaii. 🙂
I cut some strips of watercolor wishes paper and arranged them to create a wide rainbow stripe on a yellow background then I die cut it all with a stitched rectangle die. I white embossed three pineapples on vellum and layered them behind the scripty aloha sentiment. I finished off with some gems from Little Things from Lucy’s cards.
For my second card I colored the pineapple and added a smile and glasses. I created some pattern paper using small stamps from the Plan On It stamp set and layered it over a vellum circle and the scalloped rainbow perfectly plaid circle.
I made a thick die cut sentiment by layering many die cuts together using narwhal cardstock for the bottom layers and storm cloud for the top for more contrast. I finished it off with some stickles and white gloss nuvo crystal drops.
For my last card I used the rainbow die cut to make a rainbow from various pattern papers. I used white woodgrain textured cardstock for the background matted with a pink watercolor wishes zig zag rectangle.
To add some shine I added a layer of spectrum noir glitter over the sentiment and scattered a few crystal clear sequins over my rainbow.
Be sure to check out the for more Aloha projects!
