Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week: Jump for Joy + Leafy Tree Backdrop

Hello, it’s time again for another Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week!  This week we will be sharing projects with some of the new Fall/Winter release which will be available on Thursday August 25th!

Today’s projects feature the new Jump For Joy stamp set and coordinating dies along with the new Leafy Tree Backdrop available in both portrait and landscape orientations.

My first project has the cutie hedgehog from Jump For Joy about to land in a beautiful pile of leaves. Did you know that one leaf dies from the portrait Leafy Tree Backdrop fits the leaves in this set perfectly?  Well now you know! It was a happy discovery! I die cut the leaves from Chili Pepper, Fake Tan & Sunflower cardstock and piled them over top of the stamped leaf pile.

I used papers from the new Perfectly Plaid Fall paper collection for the background and card base.  I also used one of the new Dotted rectangle stackables as well.  I think the dotted goes great with the stitched rectangle.  The sentiment is stamped inside the banner from Penelope’s Blossoms on kraft cardstock which goes great with the new fall plaid papers.

My second card features the Leafy Tree Backdrop in landscape.  I cut it out of the brown plaid from Perfectly Plaid Fall and layered some distress inked stitched hillside and grassy hillside borders with it.

The stamped images on this card are from Happy Harvest.  In addition to the leave on the trees I added one to the scarecrow’s hat to look like a little feather.

With the Leafy Tree Backdrop in portrait I decided to create a spooky scene.  I die cut the tree from Black Licorice cardstock and the stitched hillside from the new Storm Cloud cardstock.  The card base is Sugarplum with a little Juice Box ink blended along the top and sides.

I cut a stitched circle out of Sunflower cardstock for the moon and then used the house, fence and bat images from Happy Haunting to create the rest of my scene.
