Happy Friday everyone! I finally have some time to post a couple cards that I made during the week. But first I would like to share why I have had a busy week. In addition to my normal job, I spent two nights this week preparing for an art show on Saturday. I don’t think I have shared this before, my church has a art gallery in our lobby and I am part of the gallery team. We reach out to artists in the community and have a different show about once a month, including two juried shows a year. Asheville is a big time art community, we have a entire arts district downtown. It’s pretty awesome to live in a city that is just oozes creativity. This month our show features pieces done by kids at an inter city school. The arts team went out on our church wide community service day a few weeks back and did art projects with these kids. They are a small charter school and don’t have an art teacher or regular art lessons. I will share some pictures of the show later because there is one super awesome piece that I think turned out fabulous! π I also went out last night to hear my Dad’s band play at a local venue. It was lots of fun, with lots of dancing and a good time all around. Okay so enough about my week… on to the cards!
This first card I made for this weeks Lawnscaping Challenge #11 Clean & Simple.
Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Critters on the Farm & Critters in the Burbs (grass)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Jenni Bowlin Stick Candy & Seed Packet, Distress Ink Scattered Straw & Shabby Shutters
Paper: Papertry Ink Kraft
Other: DeNami Design Boutique Buttons Tangerine, Copics
The second card I have to share today is one of my favorites I have come up with. I was trying to think of a creative congrats card to submit to Paper Crafts Gallery Idol 2011. There are so many submissions so far I wanted to create a card that was a bit different. So I created a baby congrats card that is outside the typical baby card box. π
I had to do some creative stamping to make the word “new” because that word is not in any Lawn Fawn sentiments (at least not any I own). This card also fits with this week’s Wee Memories challenge because I definitely tried to “free my creativity” on this one! π
Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Critters on the Farm, Plus One & Critters in the Burbs (grass)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Jenni Bowlin Stick Candy & Seed Packet, Distress Ink Shabby Shutters & Tea Dye
Paper: Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy & Vintage Cream, October Afternoon Modern Homemaker paper pad
Other: Papertrey Ink Rustic Cream Button Twine, Copics, Corner Chomper, Martha Stewart Ebony Writing Pen
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you all have a Fabulous Friday and a great weekend. Who knows maybe I will get to post some more yummy stampy-ness over the weekend!

So clever and creative Chari! (…and cute too!!)
These cards are both so adorable, but I am absolutely in LOVE with the second one! Chari, oh my gosh! It's so cute! I love every little thing about it and I would have never in a million years guessed that "new" was stamped "creatively." It absolutely looks like part of the sentiment.
And the art gallery at your church sounds amazing! I always wanted to go to Ashville, NC because my favorite book series (the Mandie books) when I was growing up, were set in Ashville, NC. Maybe someday!
I think you are a shoe in for the Idol competition with that absolutely adorable and out of the box cuteness of a baby card! Wow! Both these cards are just fabulous.
Such great cards, both of them! TFS =)
