Wow it’s been a busy week around here, and super hot too! I think we skipped spring and went straight to summer here in NC, which by the way I am not a big fan of. Good thing crafting is not an outdoor hobby right? Today I have two cards to share. For this first card I tried playing along with this weeks CASual Friday Challenge #5.
I started out with an idea I really liked but I’ll be honest, it took me awhile to get this one together, and I’m still not super thrilled with it. But I will confess I am a bit of perfectionist, so I am pretty critical of my own work. So in an effort to grow, I’m sharing anyway. I really love the Admit One set from Lawn Fawn, especially the ticket stamp. I see endless possibilities.
My second card for today is a birthday card for my Mom. My mom is awesome, and deserves an awesome card for her birthday. She is the family seamstress for sure, so I used Lawn Fawn’s Sew Lovely set to make a sewing themed card for her.
I also created this card for the I’m Sew Excited! Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Sew Lovely, Sophie’s Sentiments, Smitty’s ABCs, Bon Voyage
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper pad
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & Rose Bud (envelope), Jenni Bowlin Spice Tin, Chicken Feed & Stick Candy (envelope), Distress Ink Wild Honey & Peeled Paint
Other: Copics Spica, Ribbon, Buttons, Spellbinders Nestabilities Lacey Circles, foam adhesive
Thanks for taking the time out of your day to stop by. I hope you all have an amazing rest of the weekend. Bye!

Love the composition of your first card! Very creative! Your mom is going to love the birthday card–sew lovely in every way! Thanks so much for playing with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
Fab cards Chari, just love the sentiment in the tickets on the first and your Mums card is so pretty with all the extra touches to the inside and envelope 🙂
I think that both cards are great, although I think that of all your cards. I understand, though, what you are saying in that you want to be the best that you can. Great way to embrace color in both your cards. And oh how I do not miss those hot humid NC summers. Thanks for sharing your talent at CAS-ual Fridays this week!
Sooooo CUTE! I love the rich colors too.
Great take on my sketch.

Let me tell you, your persistence paid off on that just the ticket card, my friend! Its awesome!! And the card for your mom is beautiful!!
So, we were both getting inky w/ Sew Lovely this weekend ;). I'm a perfectionist too & I'm always so hard on my creations. I'm doing the same thing (trying to post them anyway) because it does help you grow… something we're all persnickity about, others love ;). So happy you shared it. Its nice to relate. I love everything you create by the way :D.
Very cute cards 🙂
These two cards are so fun! You know what I love about you? You don't shy away from color. Your cards are always so bright and cheerful, they really do lift the spirits. Fabulous job, as always, Chari! Your mom is going to LOVE her card!
I like your cards, what a neat sketch and I like your little ticket accents.
