Sunsets at the Fair

Hello Friends!
I went to a crafty retreat over a month ago and one cool thing about retreats like that is you get to use stamps you don’t have in your collection.  I played with the Around We Go set from Mama Elephant and created two sunset silhouette cards.

I  blended distress inks to create the sunset on a piece of Distress Watercolor paper then I die cut two panels out of it.  I thought the images in this set would look great as stark black silhouettes against the bright background.

I stamped the images with Onyx Black Versafine ink and cut black card stock for the ground.  I sprayed the ground in the first card with shimmer spray for some added shine.

And for a little shine on the second card I added some stickles glitter to the centers of the fireworks in the sky.

On another note…Sorry I’ve been absent from blog posting lately, we moved out of our condo and in with my parents while we build a new house so it’s tight quarters and I haven’t yet gotten into a crafting rhythm yet.  I have been sharing pics of the progress on my Instagram account but thought I would share a little here too, here is a cool panoramic pic I took standing in the front door.  The living room is to the left and the kitchen/dining is to the right. Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Hi Chari, you've created a perfect sunset…just like we have here in Australia to! It certainly does make your stamping stand out nicely. Your house looks like it will be lovely and roomy.
