Summer Card Camp – Week 1 {continued}

Hi everyone, I’m back again with a couple more cards from Summer Card Camp.  On Wednesday we saw some examples from other designers so I picked a few and used them as inspiration to continue working with this week’s color combo.

My first card was inspired by Kelly Marie Alvarez’s card.  I think she and I both share a love for this long vine stamp in the Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanicals set.  I decided to use it differently than I have before and emboss the image on colored paper rather than stamping and coloring the leaves in with markers.

The second card I made yesterday was inspired by Vicky Papaioannou’s card.  She shared a technique using Distress Ink and then water on a background stamp to create a subtle pattern.  So I tried it with Distress Stain instead of Distress Ink.  I covered my cardstock piece with broken china Distress Stain then misted my Hero Arts Sweet Threads Spirals background and placed on the stained paper.  It worked!
