Hello! I’m back with some more cards using the Studio Calico August kits Sandlot and Squints! I love the flower images in the stamp set for Squints and how you can layer them on top of each other. I stamped the more solid petals in a lighter ink then layered the other image in darker ink on top to create this cluster of flowers.
I really love the aqua color of the pattern paper and think it looks great with the peachy colored inks.
For this card I wanted to use the bold stripes included in Squints so I just added buttons to embellish so I didn’t take away from the stripes.
I simply used a piercing tool to sew my buttons on the line between the two papers.
This card has that same aqua and peach going on. I liked the pink/peach tag layered together with paper and ribbon of similar color.
I used distress ink in worn lipstick to tone down the pattern paper and distress the edges a bit. I used a white gel pen to add the little specks around with the enamel dots.
Thanks for checking on these projects using Sandlot and Squints. I have one more project to share later today using the Teacher’s Pet Stamp add-on.
