Studio Calico: Camelot Card Kit

Hello!
The May kits have been revealed at Studio Calico.  Here are a couple cards I created using the Main Card kit Camelot.  For my first card I used the stamp set to build the cake image using Studio Calico Color Theory Inks in Coral Bay, Mint Hint and Clean Slate.

I cut a card base from the dark grey card stock in the kit and used the stitching lines craft die to cut the stitching holes around the yellow pattern paper panel.  I also used some antique linen distress ink to distress the edges of the yellow paper as well.

I used some embroidery floss in a color that matched the mint ink to stitch around the edges.  I cut the cake out as well as the extra banner and popped them up on the card front with foam adhesive.  I finished off with a gold bow on the cake stand using the gold ribbon from the kit.
I am in love with the color pallet of buttons that come in the Camelot card kit so for my second card I wanted to feature the beautiful buttons.

I pulled on button of each color and was sure to pick one of each of the different button shapes as well. After deciding on my arrangement I threaded the gold ribbon through the buttons and adhered them down with glue dots to my card front.

The banner is stamped with Studio Calico Color Theory Mint Hint and Clean Slate ink, cut out and adhered down with foam adhesive.
