Hello!
The monkey and his umbrella are colored with colored pencils and gamsol and cut out. I used my craft knife to cut a tiny slit in the monkey’s hand to slip the umbrella handle through so it looked like he was holding it. I stamped the map in a light brown ink to mute it down some so that the images on top would stand out. The blue around the map is colored pencil and gamsol as well and I paper pieced North Carolina and Arizona so that they would stand out. I love that instead of “Good-bye” I could use a more encouraging sentiment. As Tim travels across the country on his month long excursion to places between here and there I know he will indeed spread happiness along the way. He actually posted a picture of this card propped up in this dashboard as he started his journey. How awesome is that! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today.

This is adorable and I love how you so expertly used two different stamp companies on one card!
A perfect sentiment for the occasion! I love how you highlighted NC and AZ.
Very cute card.
love what you did with the US 😉 such a cute card and I agree your sentiment choice was way better then "goodbye" love when friends treasure the cards we make 🙂
