Smooches, Puffies, Googly Eyes & Twine!

I have a few cards to share today.  I was determined to ink up some of my new paper smooches stamps this week and use some other fun things I have purchased recently too.  The first card I want to share plays along with this weeks Wee Memories Challenge Tangled Up sponsored by The Twinery (if you have not used twine in a project you should really try it, it is so yummy! I recommend the sample pack).  Here is my card using Paper Smooches Falling for You.

I used white Zing embossing powder for the main images because I absolutely loved Britta’s card she made using this technique (check it out HERE, aren’t those veggies adorable?) so I had to try it out for myself!  I actually tried it out a couple times as you will see.  I stamped the background polka dots with Jenni Bowlin Lemon Drop ink and distressed the edges with Wild Honey distress ink. I just love the googly eyes on the bat!

Here is another small card I made using the same white embossing technique with Paper Smooches Boob Tubes & Sentiment Sampler set.  It doesn’t show well in the picture but I used Glossy Accents on the TV screen and knobs.

The last card I want to share today uses Paper Smooches Pretty Phrases.  I told you I was on a paper smooches inking mission!  This card also uses paper from the October Afternoon Modern Homemaker collection and a super cute Puffies embellishment I just picked up from Ki Memories.

My embossing job left something to be desired, I tried to clean it up as best I could but there seem to be a lot of stray specks.  I guess it gives it an older look right?  I also tried my hand at a little stitching around the top but I think it is a little too fat.  I discovered that Bazzill In Stitch’z floss (which was what I happened to have) does not pull apart like normal embroidery floss.  It seems all the strands are woven in there together.  Next time I will probably get some regular floss and make my stitches not so plump.  I picked up the In Stitch’z floss on clearance and this was my first time working with it.

Thanks for popping in today, Hope everyone has a happy hump day, the weekend with be here before we know it! Yay! 🙂
