Hello Friends!
I love making Halloween cards, but truth be told I don’t get to make too many. I feel like usually, I make one or two and the next thing I know it’s Christmas for 2 months straight. I also really love the spooky house images Tim Holtz comes out with each year for his Halloween stamp release, this year was no exception. , might actually be my favorite one so far! and I both got this stamp set so we decided to do a little challenge and each makes a project using that set. She and I usually share with each other when we are making things but not this time, I haven’t seen her project yet so I’m excited to see what she made as well.
I created a slimline card with lots of inking for the background and I even used some products that I have but don’t usually reach for. This was a fun card to make.
The house I colored with distress inks and used distress paint for the window frames and glossy accents on the window panes. The ground is made from Texture Paste colored with Black Soot distress ink re-inker.
The moon is stamped with Wild Honey Distress oxide on cream cardstock with some scattered straw blended in for the shadow. Then I added some clear rock candy distress stickles dry glitter to the one side.
For the background, I used Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink on Bristol cardstock. Then I used the script stencil from with some ink and black glitter paste. I also added some white and black metallic splatters for more texture.
I stamped the fence and the bats directly onto the background. The house I cut out in two pieces and layered them with foam dots to add dimension.
I really had fun playing with some new stuff that I don’t always get to use in my cute Lawn Fawn world. You can see the whole process in the tutorial below or on my YouTube channel.
I hope you enjoyed this Sketch Manor slimline card. Thanks so much for stopping by today now go .

Omgosh I love everything about it!!! The gorgeous blend combo!!! I love that you inked the stencil and added bits of glitter! (So fun we chose to use the same stencil) I love that you cut the house apart to add dimension…. the white on the window frames!! Eeek!!! I love it all!!! This was wicked fun!!!
Love this card and all the different techniques that were used. Can you tell me the dimensions of that house stamp? It’s one of the better Halloween stamps that I have seen.
Thank You! The house is a little over 3″ wide and about 4.5″ tall
