Poshta Design: Lil’ Dotty, Spring Flowers & Chevron Coverall

One more day of introductions for the Poshta Design 2025 Spring Release!

The only thing more charming than bees… Ladybugs! Introducing Lil’ Dotty, I love the name.

Just like Busy Bee, Lil’ Dotty comes with three sizes of ladybugs to stitch. I created a cute bowl filler for spring with the largest Lil’ Dotty die. I used Terial Magic to create her cute polka dot fabric shell. When stitching this, I layered the stiffened fabric over a piece of red felt to give it a nice thickness and stability when stitching.

Next up is the Spring Flowers die. This die includes a great inspiration guide to show you the many options and combinations available. I used the new Geranium felt paired with Paloma for a pair of bright and cheerful florals.

My favorite detail might be the big lazy daisy stitches with the extra stitch that overlaps onto the center flower detail. It really is all in the details.

The last introduction is the Chevron Coverall die. This die cuts a chevron striped background sized for an A2 card front.

The Chevron Coverall comes with a stitching guide with two different suggestions for stitching. I stitched one version on the bee birthday card in a rainbow of colors.

For the little Busy Bee I used pearlescent vellum for the wings and fabric for the body.

My second card features a different stitching design, one not included in the guide, but I thought it was a fun one to try. It reminds me of little tufts of grass, perfect for Lil’ Dotty. She is cut from Paloma & Furrow felt.

The little die-cut speech bubble is created with Lawn Fawn’s Speech Bubbles die set. This release has been so much fun to work with, and I hope to have some tutorial videos soon for all of these projects. The Release will be available at noon ET on Saturday, March 29, 2025
