Poshta Design: Busy Bee & Humming Hive

It’s day two of Poshta Design 2025 Spring Release introductions, and today is all about the bees! Bzzzz…so let’s get right to all the bee goodness.

First up, the Humming Hive die. This die cuts each segment of the hive so you can customize and create a cute little home for the bees. I decided to try my hand at using pattern fabric to create a homespun look, and let’s say I am in love! You will definitely be seeing this technique again.

This little hive is two-sided, using the same fabrics but in a different order. I put this pick in the purple flowers on my dining room table. It certainly adds a bit of summer charm. To cut the pattern fabric, I used Terial Magic. This magic product makes fabrics more like paper, die-cutting like a dream!

Next up, Busy Bee and the Humming Hive: Spring Floral Details die. Busy Bee has three different bee sizes, I used the tiny one and the small one for my wreath.

I love the ability to dress up the Humming Hive with spring florals. I used the loopy stitch as a trail for the tiny bee, but it can be stitched as a vine as well.

As I mentioned yesterday, the new Hello, Sunshine color story came in very handy in creating these cute bees and the hive. I am in love with the Busy Bee, the middle size is my favorite, but I plan on making a few big ones in the near future.

In addition to the bees and hive, I also included a cute little banner on my summer wreath. I used the Accessory Alphabet to cut my letters into hand-cut banners.

One last picture of these cutie bees! I love them! It’s okay to put bees on all the projects, right? Oh, and the little antenna are made from craft flower stamens. Lizzie is a genius! You might see a bee tomorrow too!
