Pinterest Inspired

So if you haven’t already checked out or used Pinterest then you are truly missing out.  I have always been one to save a pic from the internet of something that I liked or inspired me.  But the cool thing about Pinterest is you can share that with others too, and see things that inspire them.  It is so cool, and fun… and addicting!  So when I saw that Wee Memories was having a Pinterest/Etsy inspired challenge this week I thought I should try and put my pinning to good use!  Here is my card, I made it for a good friend who’s birthday is next week.

And this is the pic from my pinterest catalog that I used for inspiration.  How cool is this beautiful yarn creation, I would love to hang it over my desk.

I chose this picture for both the shapes and colors, I think it makes a lovely yet simple composition.

To make this card I cut out various sizes of circles.  The Birthday cake stamp is from Lawn Fawn’s Year One set and is embossed using clear embossing powder.  For the other circles I drew lines across them using a VersaMark marker, and on the cream circle I used Jenni Bowlin Malked Milk ink and one of the straight line stamps from Lawn Fawn’s Bake me a Cake set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Year One, Hero Arts Cling Dots background stamp
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Jenni Bowlin Malted Milk, Versamark Watermark
Paper: Bazzill Cardstock (various colors), White rice paper
Other: Clear embossing powder, VersaMark Marker

Thanks for taking time to stop by my blog today.  Go check out pinterest if you haven’t already.  Let me know if you need an invite!
