Welcome to Newton’s Nook Designs Deck the Halls with Inky Paws celebration. Today you can find me on the Newton’s Nook Blog as featured guest. I created a fun slim line trifold card using the Festive Fawns and the Evergreens stencil.
I folded my card base into a slim line trifold card then masked off the stencil to just ink two trees. I did flip the stencil so that each side was a mirror image of the other.
Once the trees were inked I fussy cut around the edge of them so that you could see the next layers behind. I also added some Stickles to the tress for snow.
The sky on the background panel is created with blended distress inks in wilted violet, peacock feathers and twisted citron on watercolor paper. I added lots of splatters of water, white watercolor and white metallic watercolor for snow.
I love how this tall three layered card allowed me to use all the big images in this cute set. I also love how the inside image is completely hidden so it is a surprise when opened.
