Movie-Themed Pull ‘n Pop Card: Mary Poppins

Hi Friends! I have a really fun card to share today with the newest interactive die from Lawn Fawn, the Pull ‘n Pop Pull Tab. Once I saw how this new die worked I had some fun ideas run through my head. Today’s card is created around one of my favorite characters, Mary Poppins.

I used the bear from Beary Rainy Day as Mary Poppins (or perhaps I should say “Beary Poppins). I added a hat from Special Delivery adorned with flowers from Sew Very Mice and Elephant Parade. I also added some details to her coat with a black pen and gave her a bow tie and bag to complete the look. I think she turned out (practically) perfect.

For the background of the card, I took inspiration from the Mary Poppins Broadway Musical graphics which had a beautiful blue and purple sky with a silhouette of London below. I created my sky by water-coloring layers of prize ribbon, villainous potion, and wilted violet. Then I added some splatter stars. The Village Border die and spooky fence border dies work perfectly for my city silhouette.

When you pull the tab Beary Poppins pops up into the sky with her umbrella. I used Harold’s ABCs for a Practically Perfect sentiment. You can check out the video below to see how I created this card or watch it HERE on my YouTube channel.
