Lawnscaping Challenge #2 – Case Kelly

I was so excited yesterday when my new Lawn Fawn stamps showed up in the mail.  I couldn’t wait to use them!  I have been waiting on them to arrive to make a card for the Lawnscaping Challenge #2 – Casing Kelly Alvarez.

The Challenge was to choose a creation of Kelly’s from her blog and case it.  I had a hard time narrowing it down to which lovely creation I wanted to use for inspiration but I finally settled on this little penguin cutie.

Kelly’s Cutie Penguin Card

And here is my card…

Milk + Cookies = Love

I have been wanting to try a circle shaped card since the first time I saw them on Kelly’s Blog and I really wanted to make a card with the milk & cookie theme because that is also our wedding invitation theme. So I am of course wrapped up in milk & cookie world while working on wedding details. So I sort of cased myself too!

I used some cute Cosmo Cricket paper for the background and border, I just love the colors.  The milk & cookies are from Lawn Fawn’s Cozy Christmas set and I used Harold’s ABC’s for the sentiment (also pulled from my wedding invitation).  I have no baker’s twine unfortunately (it’s on my wishlist) so for the finishing touch I recycled a piece of the blue string that the Lawn Fawn stamp sets come tied together with.  I just love that they come with a thank you note and tied up with string… these are a few of my favorite things. 🙂

Only 66 more days! Yay! I can’t wait!  I will have more wedding fun to share in the coming months.

Our invitations (aren’t they cute?)
