Lawn Fawn + Xyron Week: Sublime Shaker

Hello Friends! This week the Lawn Fawn design team is featuring projects made with Xyron products.  Today I have a fun shaker card to share using some Xyron adhesives.

I started by using the Xyron Mega adhesive runner to adhere my Really Rainbow die cut panel to a white card base.  I like to make sure that larger pieces of paper going on the card base are well adhered so this Mega runner is the perfect tool to get lots of adhesive on the back quickly.

To create the shaker part of my card I die cut the Stitched Rectangle frame from a rainbow of cardstock colors.  I used the Xyron Tape Runner with permanent adhesive dots to stack my frames together and create the sides of my shaker compartment.  I think this gives a unique detail to a shaker card over craft foam.  You can see the colors of cardstock when looking at the sides and I also like that it holds it’s shape better than foam.

Probably my most favorite Xyron product has to be the adhesive eraser.  This little tool has gotten me out of many sticky situations (hehe).  I used it along the sides of my stacked cardstock frame to remove any stray adhesive and clean up the sides.  I also used the Xyron Tape runner with dots to adhere down the submarine from You Are Sublime and speech bubble from Chit Chat once I enclosed my Dress My Craft crystal ice cube shaker pieces with acetate.  The “seaweed” is created with die cut pieces from the Large Wreath set.  I just trimmed them to the lengths I wanted and layered them on top.
