Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week: Winter Skies

Hello! I’m back with another post for Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week.  Today we are featuring Winter Skies. I have two cards to share today.

My first card is a double slider card with an ink blending top panel and a sentiment on the bottom.

I blended the sky of the outside pocket and the top panel with distress inks and added some pearl and gold metallic watercolor flecks.  I like how Santa pops out of the top and the sentiment pops out of the bottom. I used pixie dust glitter paper for the snowy ground.

I put the whole pocket onto a white woodgrain cardstock stamped with snowflakes stamped in Moonstone ink.

This card was inspired by a card by Elise.  I liked her mountains in the background and the little critters looking up at the sky. I wanted to create a non-holiday card, however, so my card is just for winter.  I colored the sky with tumbled glass and broken china distress ink and the mountains with Dusty Concord and shaded lilac inks.  As you can see I’m really into the metallic splatters, so I added pearl splatters to look like snow.

I pulled in the little house and moon from Winter Village to help set my scene.  And continued the sparkle with pixie dust glitter cardstock for the snowy hills and snow-capped mountains.
