Lawn Fawn September Inspiration Week: String of Lights & Narwhal and Friends

Hello! Today for Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week we are sharing projects with two new die sets, String of Lights and Narwhal & Friends.

For my first project using the new String of Lights dies I cut the lights from white cardstock then used distress inks to color each one.  After I had the bulbs inked I added a layer of clear sparkle overlay with a spectrum noir sparkle pen and finished them off with a layer of glossy accents.

The tops of the bulbs are cut from silver glitter paper for that extra pop of sparkle.  I wanted the bulbs to be the focus of the card so I kept the background simply white.  The sentiment is stamped with gold Delicata ink and I sprinkled some tiny clear sequins around to finish it off.

My second project uses the new Narwhal and friends dies. I cut a little seal out of felt and added some stitching to the hat and muzzle.  Because I was working on a bag that was already assembled I used felt glue to attach my seal to the canvas bag rather than stitching it on.

I added some googly eyes and a button fro the top of his hat for some added embellishment.  Be sure to visit the Lawn Fawn Blog for more projects including the other variations for the narwhal and friends die!

  1. Love the shine christmas ornaments. The silver glitter paper is a perfect touch. That seal is ADORABLE!! Your extra stitching, the button and the eyes really make it that much cuter! Now I have to get that die set!
