Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week: Gingerbread Friends

Hello! Welcome back to another day of October Inspiration week! Today we are featuring .  I have two projects to share with you today.

For my card I thought it would be fun to use felt to create my gingerbread cookies so they have a little bit of texture. I backed them with white cardstock cut with the dies as well to give the felt stability and make the face white as well without having to glue on all those little pieces.

I did add the other icing details to the front of the cookie.  I cut them from pixie dust glitter cardstock for some fun sparkle.  I created my background and banner with some papers and added a white embossed sentiment from .

Next I have a fun Christmas garland made with the Gingerbread Friends.  This is easy to do and you could make this garland as long as you like.  It would look great on a mantel or Christmas Tree.

These cookies are cut from paper bag cardstock with ground coffee cardstock behind to give the faces a nice chocolate icing look. Again the white frosting is cut from pixie dust cardstock and glued to the front of these little cookies.  I also added rosy cheeks with a pink colored pencil.

The hearts in between each cookie is colored with Candied Apple distress oxide ink on paper bag cardstock to kee the look of an iced cookie in contrast the bright red of the cardstock pieces which to me look more like candy decorations.

Be sure to check out the for more inpisration using Gingerbread Friends.  You can also see just how I created my projects as part of the .
