Hello!
It’s Inspiration Week time again. Today we are focusing on Winter Scripty Sayings and the new scalloped rectangles.
For this card I used the scritpy sayings sentiment stamped in cranberry ink as my focal point then stamped pine branches in celery stick and freshly cut grass inks around the oval using stamps from Deck the Halls.
Using the MISTI tool I stamped the sentiment on the card base as well so that that line and loops of the stamp would line up with the oval on top. I also stamped the Argyle backdrops in freshly cut grass and more pine boughs in celery stick on the background. I finished it off with some pine cones and matching twine.
I’m so happy that there are scalloped rectangles to layer behind my favorite stitched rectangles. I hope that maybe Lawn Fawn has some scalloped ovals or squares in their plans for the future. I cut this scalloped rectangle from white card stock and then covered it with Rusty Hinge distress ink to create custom colored card stock in the color I wanted. I also layered wink of stella clear glitter over it for some shine.
I dressed up the raccoon from the Holiday Party Animal set so that he is all ready for Thanksgiving and gave him a tone on tone wishbone background to complete the ensemble. Be sure to check out the for more projects as well as giveaways!
P.S. I also have a fall card over on the today, go check it out!
