Hello!
All the images are colored with colored pencils using gamsol to blend. I did a little creative cutting on the sandcastle to keep the “front door” opening in tack. Truth be told I colored it prior to looking at the dies and did not realize that the door is cut out when using the die, whoops! I created the shaker part by cutting fun foam with the Circle Stackables Lawn Cuts and finished it with a frame cut from Hello Sunshine paper.
The Yellow stripe paper from the Let’s Polka collection makes this card nice and bright and the smaller blue polka dot pattern from the Let’s Polka paper pad makes a great background for the sand castle. I used pastel iridescent beads for my shaker insides, I thought they looked like little bubbles. I think my favorite detail on this card is the rope around the shaker frame, it nicely hides the foam but I love the extra beach detail it adds. I bought it at my local craft store on a whim because I thought it looked very nautical and could maybe use it on a card. It just worked perfectly on this one.
Be sure to stop by the Lawn Fawn blog for more projects with Life is good and giveaways as well. Thanks for stopping by today!
