Lawn Fawn + Marvy Week: Color My World

Hello!
This week the Lawn Fawn Design team is featuring projects using Marvy products.  I used Marvey’s ColorIn Watercolor Pencils (which are currently on sale!) and the super handy Jewel Picker to create my card using one single mini set, Color My World.

I stamped out my crayons on watercolor paper using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink dye ink which is perfect for watercoloring.  I added more pencil to the crayon wrappers and a little less on the crayon tops and bottoms and then just used a water brush to blend the color out and get an easy watercolor effect.  These pencils were super easy to use and I think they blended out very nicely. Mostly I did color the pencil straight on the paper but when I needed just a bit more color I could pick up the color directly from the pencil with my water brush and add it to my paper. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and then arranged them around my die cut circle and held them in that placement with low tack tape.  This allowed me to get my sentiment lined up just where I wanted it in relation to the crayons.

The background is Neenah solar white cardstock cut with the itsy bitsy polka dot backdrop layered on to a white card base.  I like the nice subtle pattern this white and white creates and still lets the crayons pop off the background.  After adding the circle to the bottom right corner I added the crayons popped up on foam adhesive then trimmed off the excess that was hanging off the side of the card.  To finish it off I pulled out an assortment of jewels from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards and made a rainbow sprinkle of embellishments around the brightly colored crayons.  I used the Lawn Fawn glue tube to adhere these down and the Marvy Jewel Picker made placement easy as pie.

Be sure and stop by the Lawn Fawn Blog all week to see all the Marvy projects from the Design Team!  Thanks for stopping by today.
