Hi Friends!
Today we are featuring the new Stitched Wavy Backdrop dies. I have two cards to share using both the landscape and the portrait orientation.
For my first card, I used the background as traditional waves and inked up the Stitched Wavy Backdrop: Landscape panel with distress oxides in cracked pistachio, salvaged patina, and peacock feathers. I added lots of texture with water and paint splatters. I used critters from On the Beach and Really High Five, I love how the bear and mouse look like they are doing the backstroke.
I wanted to show a different way of using the wavy background for my second card. From the first time I saw the Stitched Wavy Backdrop: Portriat die I thought it would be perfect for a garden so I inked up an oldie but goodie, Rooting for You, and created some colorful veggies. I made the dirt using distress oxide inks in tea dye, vintage photo, and ground espresso. I also added white and dark brown watercolor splatters for added texture. I love these solid stamped veggies! It gives me the opportunity to use my colored inks more.
Both of these cards are part of the Stitched Wavy Backdrop intro video. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
So clever to use the wavy backdrop as a garden plot – I love it!
