Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week: Summertime Charm

Hello!
Today is the start of Inspiration Week at Lawn Fawn! Woo Hoo! Time to share creations with some of the newest release of stamps (which will be available February 21st!).  Today we are featuring Summertime Charm, which has new matching Lawn Cuts dies too!  I have some project ideas tucked away in my head for some upcoming videos featuring this set and the new dies but for now on to today’s inspiration.  I love this set because you can fill jar with all the little elements, but I wanted to try and stretch my creativity and see what else I could do with this set.

Summertime

Fruit pinwheels! I looked at the fruit and thought what else can be done with these and this is what I came up with.  I stamped the strawberry and lemon slice on some pink lemonade papers and colored them with copics.  I think this technique adds a nice texture under the color.  I colored silver gems with copics as well to have matching gem stones for the pinwheel centers.  The jar is embossed on vellum with a light blue paper behind it.  This would also be great without the paper behind but I wanted to block out some of the pattern paper behind the jar to keep things from getting too busy on the card.  I’m also totally in love with the hearts and stars in this set.  I stamped the solid heart in pale tomato ink from hero arts which looks great with these papers.  The little tab at the top is cut from the extra pattern strip from the bottom of the fruit punch 12×12 sheet.

Be sure to stop by the Lawn Fawn blog all this week for design team projects using the featured sets and be sure to check the Lawn Fawn shop or your favorite store for all the new goodies later this week.

  1. Well now I feel silly. I didn't notice on the lawn fawn blog that you'd made the pinwheels with the fruit. Ha. Very clever. I also really like the vellum jar.
