Lawn Fawn February Inspiration Week: Scalloped Box Card Pop-up

Welcome back for day 2 of Lawn Fawn Inspiration and Release week! Today we are featuring the new Scalloped Box Card Pop-up die. This die makes super cool pop up box cards that can be flattened out and mailed in an envelope.

This die is perfect for creating little scenes with critters and such but I wanted to create something a little different to show it’s not just for scenes! How fun is it to open a box and balloons float out right? So that was the effect I was going for with my card.

I die cut party balloons of different sizes from various colors of cardstock and gave them a healthly coat of clear shimmer overlay. I also white embossed the Happy sentiments from Happy Happy Happy and die cut them as well. I used purple plaid for my box and added just one simple sentiment panel on the front with some stars sprinkled around. There are dies in this set to cut panels for all sides of the box and the flaps as well but I wanted to keep things simple and let my balloons stand out.

I used acetate strips to attached my balloons and Happy words so that they all look like they are floating right out of the box. I really love the look of the sentiments floating in mid air.
