Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week: Pillow Box & Give A Hoot

Hello!
I’m back with day two of August Lawn Fawn inspiration week! Today I’m using the new pillow box die along with a super clever add-on die for the pillow box. I absolutely love this die! I have a pillow box punch board but this is so much easier and I love how it perforates the curved folds and makes it so easy to assemble!

For my pillow box I cut the box from yellow cardstock then I wrapped it in a strip of blue cardstock cut with the snowy backdrop background die. For the tag I used the middle sized stitched circle tag to cut out some watercolor paper and used another circle die to create the moon shape.  I inked the tag with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber inks and stamped the sentiment in black ink.  The bear is stamped in the new Soot dye ink and colored with colored pencils.  I tied the tag onto the box with the new Aquamarine twine.

Although the Give A Hoot die is designed to coordinate with the pillow box it can also be used in other ways.  I used the small stitched banner die to create a cute little owl banner.  I think these little banner owls are super cute and they were so very easy to create.  I used Sweater Weather paper and the new Candy Corn twine to string my little owls together.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more projects with the Pillow Box die, Give a Hoot and Peek-a-bat die as well!

  1. I'm still in love with the starry background stamp and loved how you used it today wrapped around the pillow box. I also liked the Bears and the way you created the moon. I wouldn't have thought of that. Great job altogether
