Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week: Booyah

Welcome to August Lawn Fawn Inspiration week, this week we are featuring some of the new products from the fall & winter release…which will be available August 27th! Today we are sharing projects with the new stamp set Booyah.

Who says ghosts have to be white? They get to dress up for Halloween too you know. 🙂 This ghoulish couple is all dressed up and ready for some trick or treating.  I colored these little ghosts with copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

The background is stamped using Fake Tan ink and the Starry Backdrops on the orange cardstock and Lucky Stars stamps with silver ink on the black cardstock.  I also die cut a stitched border down each side of the black cardstock panel.  For the sentiment I used a stitched rectangle and stamped with Fake Tan and Celery Stick inks.

For my second card I of course had to make a pirate ghost.  I love the little pirate hat, can’t wait to use it on other critters too! To keep with my pirate theme I made a wood “deck” for a background by stamping the woodgrain backdrops in Walnut ink on kraft cardstock then cutting it into strips and inking the edges with Tea Dye distress ink.

The sentiment fits perfectly on a stitched label and I arranged everything on a red burlap panel for some texture.  Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn Blog for more projects with this fun set and giveaways!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I still can't get over the name of the orange ink– fake tan! Bwa ha ha ha! I love the Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein, that would make sure a great card for my lovey on Halloween! 😀

  2. Great fun cards! I love the colors of Frank and his wife! I didn't even question why they weren't white cuz of course they can be any color! Great idea for the panel background behind the pirate ghost (that eye patch is a MUST have!!) Thanks for sharing your great work!
