Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week: Thankful Mice & Small Stitched Leaves

Hello! inspiration week continues with projects featuring Thankful Mice and new small stitched leaves.  These little mice are just so adorable!

For my card I decided to create a background that looked like a slice of cheese.  I die cut some circles out of a piece of watercolor paper to create the look of swiss cheese then inked the paper with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber.  I colored the images with copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

The Scripty Thanks die works great to change up the look of the sentiment in this set.  I cut it from red cardstock then gave it a coating of wink of stella clear glitter.  For my second card today I used the same Scripty Thanks but this time I cut it from watercolor paper then colored it with Gathered Twigs distress ink.  I cut the new small stitched leaves from watercolor paper as well and used distress inks and a blending tool to give them all color.

I used the new scalloped rectangle dies to create a frame that matched my sentiment and then layered it behind a Let’s Polka Mon Amie vanilla polka dot panel.  I inked the edges of the background panel with Antique Linen and also inked the edges of the kraft cardstock base with Frayed Burlap.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to check out the for more projects with Thankful Mice and Small Stitched Leaves.
