Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week: Donut Worry + Year Six

Hello! It’s Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! Today I have two cards to share, the first features the mini set Donut Worry.

I used Nadia perfectly plaid paper for the background and embellished some of the lines with the stitched border dies.

I curved the sentiment to match the curve of the donut and used one of the sentiment banners trimmed down for the “be happy.”

Does anyone remember the little clams with the big eyes in The Little Mermaid? Matt and I just got back from a trip to Disney World and I was reminded of those little guys while there so I just had to add some googly eyes to my Year Six shellfish. 🙂

The background is colored by blending distress inks in tumbled glass, broken china and wilted violet with a few splatters of brushed pewter distress spray stain.  I added a party hat from Hats Off to You and colored all the images with copics.  I thought they needed some “bubbles” so I added some glossy accents for some subtle bubbles floating up to the surface.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to check out the Lawn Fawn Blog for more projects with these two mini sets!
