Hello! Hard to believe it’s time for Lawn Fawn inspiration week yet again. Today we are featuring the newest Pop-up add-on the Cloudy Hillside Pop-up.
Before we get to the Pop-up inside I have to share the front of my card. I kept it simple by using the Quilted Backdrop die and a simple sentiment. I cut the backdrop from some white shimmer cardstock and then inked blended distress oxide inks over top. Because of the shimmer finish, the ink did not absorb into the cardstock but instead left this beautiful pale pastel color behind. I buffed the surface with a paper towel when finished to wipe off any excess ink and this is what my finished piece looked like. It’s hard to see the shimmer in my photo but it is there.
For the inside, I did the same thing to my clouds. Actually, I tried this experiment on my clouds first to try and create a colorfully dreamy look. I only used two shades of ink on the clouds, shaded lilac and cracked pistachio for the back clouds and tattered rose and worn lipstick for the front. I also inked just the edges of the die cut clouds in the sky with shaded lilac.
I thought the unicorn and castle from Critters Ever After worked perfectly with these dreamy clouds. And I just added a simple sentiment to card base to match as well.
Be sure to visit the Lawn Fawn Blog today for more projects with these fun clouds and the new pop-up butterflies as well. Thanks for stopping by today!
