Hello!
I’m excited to be joining in for the My Monthly Hero Kit blog hop for the June kit. I created so many cards with this kit. I have not sat down and created this many cards in one weekend in a very very long time. Here is a look the My Monthly Hero June 2017 kit.
9 coordinating Frame Cuts
1 Fancy Die
3 ink cubes (Just Rust, Mulled Wine, Moss)
0.5 oz. black embossing powder
2 sheets of 4″ x “6” Portuguese eco-friendly cork
2 sheets of 5.5″ x 8.5″ metallic bronze paper (81 lb. text weight)
2 sheets of 5.5″ x 8.5″ metallic quartz cardstock (105 lb. cover weight)
And here is a look at all the many cards I created using this month’s kit along with some fun add on products!
I used my MISTI tool to create this background pattern of stamps, which I used on several cards. The card on the right is clear embossing then rainbow distress inking over top. The card on the left is the same idea but instead of using the clear embossing powder I only stamped with Versamark ink creating a very subtle pattern in the background.
The card on the right uses the same arrangement of animal stamps embossed in clear over the ink blended background. The left card has black embossed animals arranged around a die cut circle.
My next two cards use stamps from the kit along with the Tribal Stripes Bold Prints Cling Stamp for the backgrounds and Thorn Tree and Grasses Fancy Die for the die cuts. I created the background on the right by stamping the large background stamp with water onto a distress ink blended piece of cardstock.
I used some of the special papers from the kit for these cards, cutting the Thorn Tree and Grasses Fancy Die from the metallic bronze paper for the card on the left. I used remaining cardstock with the negative space cut out from the sun die to create a shaker card with tulle backed with the metallic quartz cardstock.
Finally I have some cards using add-on stamps. The card on the left showcases the Color Layering Brave Lion Stamp set and Color Layering Lion Frame Cuts. In the center I used the Color Layering Bengal Tigers Stamp set and Color Layering Tiger Frame Cuts. And for my last card on the right I used the I Got Your Back stamp along with the Tribal Stripes Bold Prints Cling Stamp stamped with versamark ink on top of an ink dusted background.
