Hello!
Today I have a card for you that could be considered Christmas but I could also be used year round. I have an uncle who always says that Joy to the World is not a specifically a Christmas song and should be sung year round. He has been known to sing it in July when he has lead worship at church. It seems rare lately I just create without an assignment or specific blog post in mind. I actually colored the globe image on this card months ago and It has just been sitting on my desk waiting to be used.
So who would have thought that a Tim Holtz stamp and Lawn Fawn would work so perfectly together. Certainly not me but I am so very pleased with how this card turned out. The globe is cut from a Simon Says Stamp exclusive STAMPtember set designed by Tim Holtz. I know the image can be found in his other blueprint sets but the size is different. I stamped it on Bristol paper and colored it with Zig Clean Color real brush pens. Yes this was when I discovered that Bristol paper was the key to these pens!
The scripty joy is multiple die cuts from red cardstock stacked on top of each other then a layer of Christmas red stickles over top. I used Simon Says Stamp for the word World. I layered some Stick it adhesive onto white cardstock so I could cover the die cuts with microfine glitter. The middle part of the sentiment is simply my handwriting as I did not have any alphabet stamps small enough to fit inside my composition. I really love the mixing of fonts on this card.
Thanks for stopping by today.
